- 4 chicken leg quarters (bone-in, skin-on)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 12oz Solid Gold
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 small shallots, minced
Notes: Soaking chicken in a crisp lager and buttermilk makes for the most tender, succulent and delicious grilled chicken you’ve had this summer.
In a large bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, Solid Gold, salt, smoked paprika, cayenne, cumin, and honey. Add the minced shallots and chicken. Cover and place in the refrigerator for at least four hours to overnight.
Preheat and prep outdoor grill for direct grilling over medium heat. Remove chicken from marinade, shake off any excess and discard the remaining marinade. Lightly oil grill grates. Transfer chicken to grill and cook 16 to 18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F°, turning occasionally. Note: Keep an eye out for any flare-ups.
Once the chicken is cooked thoroughly-transfer to a plate or serving platter. Best paired with Solid Gold.
