Tribute on the Grand 2017
We’re excited to once again host Tribute on the Grand, a fundraising event to benefit Grand Rapids Whitewater, on Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Ah-Nab-Awen Park in downtown Grand Rapids.
The musical lineup will include Saved by the 90’s (you guessed it, a 90’s cover band) and Hotel California (an Eagles tribute band), Sweet Diezel Jenkens, and Bromoans (Ramones Tribute band) along with returning local act Wolfpack from Mars (a David Bowie tribute band).
This event is FREE to the public and all ages are welcome. In addition to live music, there will also be a bunch of activities the whole family can get down with. And, of course, there will be beer. Lots of it. Chairs or blankets to sit on in the park are suggested.
2-3pm: free yoga hosted by AM Yoga
2-3pm: family-friendly activities hosted by the Downtown Market
2-10pm: food trucks and beer tent open and serving
3-10pm: live music from: Saved by the 90s, Ramones Tribute, Sweet Diesel Jenkens and Hotel California along with returning local act, Brother Wolf and the Wolfpack from Mars.
Proceeds from the event will support Grand Rapids Whitewater, a group of individuals, rowing and paddling clubs, anglers and businesses dedicated to helping Green Grand Rapids achieve the dream of putting the namesake rapids back in the Grand River for everyone’s enjoyment. Their goal is to partner with the city to create a safer, more exciting river experience for everyone.
