Corporate Giving At Founders

In 2017, we launched The Big Pitcher as a way for us to give back to the communities in which we live and work through the scope of our corporate ethos. Based on three pillars: environmental, social justice, and arts and culture to represent the scope and breadth of our employees. It is our honor to give back to causes that support the growth of the communities in which we live, work and play.

Big Pitcher Quote From Dave Engbers

Environmental

Our beer depends on access to clean water and a clean environment. It is through this scope that we are working to reduce our environmental footprint, increase our climate resiliency and advocate for positive, lasting change in policy.

Social Equity

For social justice, we aim to address the underlying and systemic differences of opportunity in order to grant fair access to resources and opportunity. To use the power of beer to bring people together, to promote livability and viability, now and into the future.

Arts and Culture

We have long been supporters of, and active members of the music and art scene. Through these talented individuals, we have created a company culture where art, music and cultural dialogue are encouraged and fostered.

The Big Pitcher also encompasses volunteering and employee donation matching encouraging and incentivizing our staff to give back to our communities. We’ve had staff volunteer at the WMEAC Grand River cleanup, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks Tree Beer promotion and associated Brewers Grove tree plantings, sack lunch preparation through Kids Food Basket and our annual Backyard Collective event organized by The Conservation Alliance and partnered with their other Grand Rapids-based supporting organizations.

We are proud to support a staff that is passionate about giving back and staying involved in our communities.
