Breakfast in a Glass

Here at Founders we like to think of breakfast as more of a state of mind rather than a meal you enjoy in the morning. That’s why our good friend Alastair Watt helped create this delicious Breakfast in a glass cocktail that can be sipped on at anytime of day.

Don’t just take our word on it, try it yourself!

Ingredients:

  • 2 oz. Bacon Fat-Washed Whiskey
  • 0.75 oz. Maple Syrup
  • 0.75 oz. Orange Juice
  • 0.5 oz. Lemon Juice
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • Breakfast Stout
  • Orange Bitters
  • Salt
  • Bacon to garnish

Recipe:

  1. Add orange juice, lemon juice, maple syrup and bacon fat-washed whiskey to a shaker with ice.
  2. Shake well, then strain and discard ice.
  3. Add egg to the shaker and dry shake until frothy
  4. Double strain into glassware of your choice. (We suggest using a Collins glass.)
  5. Top with Breakfast Stout.
  6. Add a pinch of salt, a few drops of orange bitters and bacon garnish.
  7. Enjoy!
