Our resident bartender, Nic, is at it again! This time he reached for our classic Porter to create his spin on a Dark n’ Stormy cocktail. This cocktail may look complicated, but rest-assured, even the least kitchen-savvy among us could recreate this with ease. Impress your friends and family this holiday season with this beauty:
Stormy Port(er)
Serve in “Tiki”/Tall Collins glass
Tools needed: shaker tins, muddle, jigger
Ingredients:
- 3/4oz. White Rum
- 3/4oz. Dark Rum
- 3/4oz. Overproof Rum
- 3/4oz Velvet Falernum
- 1oz. Ginger Beer
- Lime
- Bottle of Porter
- Ice
- Toasted coconut (optional)
Build in shaker. Quarter one half of lime and muddle in shaker. Add, rums Falernum, Ginger beer, ice. Quick shake. Free pour (aka “dump”) into glass. Top off with ice. Take Founders Porter, and pour over the top. Admire the beauty. Garnish with toasted coconut (optional)
