Can you believe it’s been twenty years since we brewed our first batch of beer here in Grand Rapids, Michigan? Who would have thought that the simple (and admittedly risky) dream of brewing beer for our local community could grow into one of the fastest-growing breweries in the United States? Well, we certainly couldn’t have done it alone. We have so many people who have helped and guided us along the way: business partners who supported our brand when no one had heard of us, retailers who took a chance on bringing in our beer, banking institutions that believed (and some that didn’t believe) in our dream and could feel our passion for growing this segment of the beer industry. But ultimately, it’s each of you, the craft beer enthusiasts who believe in consistent, quality product who have allowed us to grow and build this dream together. We’re looking forward to celebrating these twenty years together.

Throughout the rest of the year, we will be looking back on where we’ve come from through the moments that define that journey best. The moments where we refused to give up or back down, even if it meant risking a little or, in most cases, a lot. We will be looking back at these moments through our video series that will roll out over the remainder of the year, “Twenty Years Over Beers” (watch the first video here):
