POSITION:  Texas Sales Representative – Greater Dallas area 

DEPARTMENT:  Sales Department

JOB SUMMARY

Establish and maintain a professional sales relationship with key retailers within the assigned territory by performing the following duties:

  • Supports Founders Brewing Company Core Values and Purpose;
  • Maintains constant communication with the Regional Sales Director;
  • Works directly with the assigned Founders Brewing Company territory wholesaler and their sales staff to promote the sale of the brand;
  • Maintains consistent market visitation schedule between all assigned territories; work quarterly target account list and visitation schedule including chain and independent on and off premise accounts;
  • Develops quarterly target lists built from goals and objectives;
  • Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunity from VIP software or other company provided sales/CRM software;
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with retail accounts;
  • Monitors beer inventory to maintain proper amounts based on sales trends, promotions, and seasonal changes; monitor product for freshness;
  • Conducts ongoing brand training;
  • Attains pre-determined sales and distribution goals;
  • Assists at all special events and festivals in the territory;
  • Performs administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar,  establish distribution targets, evaluate discount programs, conduct price surveys);
  • Assists in creating volume projections and marketing budgets; ensure compliance is maintained;
  • Maintains professional image and demeanor at all times.

 

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Live in the market for which Sales Representative is responsible for (Dallas area);
  • Reliable car and be able to travel;
  • Ability to work flexible schedule; ability to work some week-ends;
  • Two years minimum experience working in the three tier distribution system either with a beer wholesaler or beer supplier;
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer industry and its retail consumers;
  • Knowledgeable of Founders Brewing Company brands and procedures;
  • Draft beer knowledgeable;
  • Experience with sales data writing, reporting, and analysis;
  • Experience with sales/CRM software.

POSITION:  Part Time Deli Clerk

DEPARTMENT:  Deli / Taproom

JOB SUMMARY

Assists in the deli sandwich making process by performing the following duties:

  • Prep work;
  • Sandwich maker;
  • Customer service;
  • Maintains safe work environment according to federal and state regulations;
  • Maintains working knowledge of deli recipes and prepared foods;
  • Miscellaneous cleaning and stocking;
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs., stand, bend, reach,  and scoop frequently;
  • Takes initiative to identify, report, and resolve problems before they escalate.

 

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED

Successful candidate must have an awesome attitude and demonstrate the ability to multi task, must be detail oriented, must be a great communicator, must be able to work independently, and must fit in with our hard working and fun team environment.  Candidates should have prior kitchen experience and have a flexible schedule to work days, nights, and week-ends.

POSITION:  Cellar Operator 

DEPARTMENT:  Cellar Department

JOB SUMMARY

Assists in the beer making process by performing the following duties:

  • Perform duties necessary to maintain a clean and sanitary fermentation cellar;
  • Follow established SOP’s toward accomplishing all needs associated in processing from receipt of wort from brewhaus through fermentation process to finished and ready to package beer;
  • Clean and maintain all cold side brewing equipment through packaging tank;
  • Maintain and improve overall sanitation and safety levels of brewery;
  • Monitor fermentation profiles, progress, and temperatures of vessels and glycol system;
  • Contribute to brewing process as directed in adding of various ingredients to beer;
  • Participate in all factors of wooden barrel brewing procedures;
  • Assist other departments when time allows.

 

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED

Good candidates must fit in with our enthusiastic and hardworking team environment, be a great communicator, and possess a mechanical aptitude. Candidates should be serious about safety, quality and cleanliness. Candidates need to be able to lift up to 100 pounds, be able to twist and turn, be able to reach over your shoulders, and work in standing/walking/crouching position at a steady pace and love to clean. Experience in sanitary food or beverage processing is a definite plus. Constant cleaning and frequent maintenance is required. Availability to work days, nights, and weekends is necessary.

  • Ensures timely completion and accuracy of all reports submitted by wholesalers;
  • Performs administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar, build wholesaler sales programs, establish distribution targets, evaluate discount programs, conduct price surveys);
  • Assists in creating volume projections and marketing budgets; ensures compliance is maintained;
  • Maintains professional image and demeanor at all times.

  • Must live in the market for which Market Manager is responsible for;
  • Must have a reliable car and be able to travel;
  • Ability to work flexible schedule; ability to work some week-ends;

POSITION:  Director of Marketing

DEPARTMENT:  Marketing Department

JOB SUMMARY
Plans and directs marketing of organization’s products and brand by performing the following duties personally or through marketing department employees.

  • Establishes strategic marketing plans designed to achieve corporate objectives for products and the overall branding of the organization;
  • Develops and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of the organization;
  • Manages all marketing staff including the Events Coordinator, Communications Manager, and Marketing Coordinator positions to ensure goals are being met (a job description for each is available for review);
  • Develops and manages the marketing department operating budget;
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize effects of competitive activity;
  • Oversees advertising and promotion activities including print, digital, social media, multi-media, and other messaging platforms;
  • Works closely with the sales department to evaluate, recommend, and develop POS, promotional materials, and distribution channel development programs;
  • Determines agencies and suppliers of record, and negotiates contract terms and conditions for major services;
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share;
  • Ensures effective control of marketing results, and takes corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets;
  • Oversees and evaluates market research and adjusts marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions;
  • Monitors competitive products and marketing activities;
  • Oversees development and maintenance of on-premise and off-premise customer database;
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners;
  • Resolves conflicts and facilitates changes in structure of marketing staff and agencies/suppliers of record to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to marketing problems and opportunities;
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts or packaging, and provides feedback for future product or package development;
  • Guides preparation of marketing activity reports, dashboard, and other deliverables as requested by executive management;
  • Establishes and maintains a consistent brand image throughout all product lines, promotional materials, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED:
Successful candidate must fit in with our enthusiastic and creative team. Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and a minimum 5 years, preferably 10+ years related marketing experience is required. Craft beer background or knowledge is a plus.

POSITION:  Regional Sales Director – Midwest Region
 
DEPARTMENT:  Sales Department
 
JOB SUMMARY
Manages sales activities of organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates within the sales department.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals;
  • Directs sales forecasting activities and sets performance goals accordingly;
  • Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates;
  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program;
  • Directs channel development activity and coordinates sales distribution by establishing quotas, and goals;
  • Advises distributors concerning sales and advertising techniques;
  • Travel is required;
  • Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist distributors in promoting sales;
  • Professionally represents Founders at industry related events;
  • Delivers sales presentations to key clients or distributors in coordination with Market Managers;
  • Meets with key distributors, assisting Market Managers with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals;
  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units;
  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements;
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion; Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition;

QUALIFICATIONS OR SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Three years minimum experience working in the three tier distribution system either with a beer wholesaler or beer supplier;
  • Strong knowledge of craft beer industry and its retail consumers;
