Featuring:
Alyson Rodriguez
Bio: Hi! I am Alyson. I am a painter at heart but I love to create and explore new mediums from printmaking to clay. As an artist and human I am constantly learning, especially as it pertains to my art making process. This is important for me because my life is constantly in a state of chaos as a working mom of three humans, and many pets. Recently, I have found the most clarity in creating in the early hours of the morning before the sun and this has evolved the process of art making from a passion to a way of taking care of myself.
Nikki Trim
Bio: Nikki Trim is an anti-racist activist and community organizer in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Working with the FREED Peoples, LOVE GR, and MI Solidarity, Nikki hopes to make an impact locally in fighting for marginalized communities and environmental justice. She is also an artist who paints vivid landscapes, creatures, and pop-art portraits.
Kelcey Edwards
Bio: Kelcey creates one-of-a-kind creations out of polymer clay. Everything is slowly and carefully made in small batches. She enjoys different styles ranging from earthy to funky.
Kary Francisco
Bio: Kary is a creative through and through. When she’s not working her ‘9-5’ as a graphic designer for a local Grand Rapids manufacturer, or her second job as the graphic designer for the Grand Rapids Comic Con, she’s in her studio designing, painting, and printing her own goodies, and creating custom items for her customers as well.
The custom printing ‘hobby’ grew into a small business in 2020, and Kary has since worked with over a dozen local small businesses creating apparel and graphics for them, and many, many individual clients creating personalized apparel, gifts, and much more!
In her ‘other’ spare time, Kary loves to travel, garden, play games, spend time with her husband and cats, enjoy a nice beer/wine/Scotch, or read Harry Potter (again).
April Carter
Bio: The Silver Lining is a small jewelry business based in West Michigan. April Carter creates one-of-a kind pieces using mixed metals, and stones. She is inspired daily by nature and has a bohemian aesthetic that reflects her own personality.
Kaitlyn Johnson
Bio: Art Educator and artist that focuses on nature, connections, and finding the beauty in things others wouldn’t.
Kalee Fix
Bio: Kalee Fix is a Grand Rapids based artist born and raised in Michigan. She is an alumnus of Kendall College of Art and Design, graduating with a BFA with a painting emphasis. She is a mother of a wonderful, smart, and energetic toddler, and the wife of one of Founders very own brewers.
The art she has created to sell at this market is a series of unique hand painted mandala-esq earth-tone dot paintings on square and triangle shaped stretched canvas.
Bri Ferrari
Bio: Bri Ferrari is an eco-conscious fiber artist based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She has been weaving and making macramé wall hangings since 2018. Bri uses secondhand yarn, upcycled fibers and recycled cord whenever possible in her tapestries, round weavings and rainbows. She also likes to use dried flowers from her garden and driftwood she’s collected from the shores of Lake Michigan.
Shannon Mack
Bio: Shannon is a multidisciplinary artist, capturing fleeting imprints of life through color and spontaneity. Her work centers around the feeling of continually discovering home within oneself. She paints to be reminded of the unseen mystery that exists simultaneously amidst our busy and distracted lives.
