All Day IPA Lemon Bars Recipe
In a lot of ways, All Day IPA is the ultimate “jack of all trades” beer. Full of flavor yet light in body, it satisfies an array of palates, moods, adventures and more.
And, it’s also damn good when used as an ingredient in dessert. Seriously. Case in point: our Culinary Director’s recipe for All Day IPA Lemon Bars. Creamy, citrusy, bright and buttery, these will convince even the most skeptical of friends that beer belongs in a dessert. The recipe is relatively easy to execute too, so you may even convince yourself that you’re a pretty good baker.
Ingredients for the crust:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Stir ingredients until combined. Press into a 13×9 baking dish. Bake for 20-30 minutes until just barely golden brown. Remove from the oven and allow to cool down a bit before pouring the topping on.
Ingredients for the topping:
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
- 1/3 cup All Day IPA
- 2 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tsp lemon extract
While the crust bakes combine all ingredients until smooth. Pour over crust carefully and return to oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
Allow cooling before cutting and serving. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
