Happy World Water Day, friends! Liz Wonder here, Founders’ Sustainability Coordinator. It seems unfair that the thing that gives us all life only gets a one-day celebration, but, rest assured, water is top of mind for us here at Founders. Its use, preservation and, of course, beer-making value does not go unappreciated.
We are happy to announce that Solid Gold will soon be available in a brand new package type:
Solid Gold, our premium lager and the newest release in our year-round lineup, is available now! To celebrate the launch, we are introducing the ‘Challenging What a Premium Lager Can Be’ Untappd badge.
Black Party, a celebration of our darkest, most intense beers, returns to the Grand Rapids taproom on Saturday, April 21!
Winter just keeps on keepin’ on over here in Michigan and our Culinary Director, Justin Golinski, has the perfect recipe to match the cold. Our Co-Founders, Mike and Dave, have always referred to the taproom as the heart of the brewery; the place where our culture was born and still, to this day, thrives.
Mark your calendars: KBS Week 2018 is only a few months away!
A couple years in and Mike and Dave were brewing beers they thought people wanted – amber ales, pale ales, wheat beer – but things were not going well. The brewery was quickly losing money and they had to make some drastic changes or they would have to close the doors.
We’re celebrating 20 years of zero regrets and, to cap off the year, we threw a party in our Grand Rapids’ taproom, complete with its very own beer release of Tank Bender, a barrel-aged eisbock. Starting (and continuing) a brewery has had its fair share of bumps and, were it not for the support of so many fans near and far, we wouldn’t have been able to do this. Thanks to everyone who believed in us the past 20 years and here’s to 20 more!
