We’re throwing a birthday party as a thank you to all of you out there who have helped us to get to our 15th anniversary. If you’re reading this, then you’re invited!

Looking back, it’s pretty crazy that this thing has worked out for us. This article on MLive details how close we were to not making it to this day.

And now it’s time to celebrate.

Party Details:

  • No reservations: first come, first served, as capacity allows.
  • Ages 21+ ALL DAY
  • Draft release of Bolt Cutter
  • The FBC All-Stars, a star-studded Founders-employee-only band, will be performing their first gig outside of Founders Fest!
  • Providence, DJ for the evening

Our 15th Anniversary is truly a unique event here at Founders. In fact, we’ve never done anything quite like it before. Our 15th Anniversary Party is an all-day, indoor-outdoor, 21+ event, celebrating 15 years of Founders. (That means celebrating everything it took to get here, everything that we are, and everything that we aspire to be…)

Commemorating the occasion will be the draft release of our 15th Anniversary ale, Bolt Cutter, a 15% ABV Barley Wine.

Evening entertainment on the taproom stage will be provided by the FBC All-Stars, a talented group of Founders employees performing an array of classic favorites, from yacht rock to Motown. In no particular order, the FBC All-Stars feature Brewmaster Jeremy Kosmicki, Brewer ‘Diamond’ Deschaine, Head Cellarman Jason Heystek, Taproom Manager Jarrod Napierkowski, Deli Manager Justin Golinski, Warehouse Supervisor Kyle Dood, Bartenders Nik Thomasma and Molly Bouwsma-Schultz, and Security Liaison Robert Burt. Performance begins at 7:30pm.

The Founders Delicatessen will be open from 11am – 11pm, and will be featuring our most popular monthly deli special ever, the Founders Cheesesteak. ‘What the Truck’, a mobile food truck owned and operated by our friends at the Winchester, will be stationed in the outdoor area to allow us to accommodate more guests and diversify the day’s food offerings. The outdoor area will have a satellite bar and tables and chairs for additional seating.

Invite your friends to the event on Facebook!

Driving in for our 15th Anniversary Party? Wondering where to park?

As you may or may not have noticed, our newest phase of expansion has already begun, limiting customer parking to the few spots in front of the main entry and the westernmost portion of the back parking lot.

In addition to this, the front parking lot will be CLOSED ALL DAY on Friday and Saturday.

The 15th Anniversary Party perimeter fencing for the outdoor overflow area & tent will go up Friday morning and remain up all-day Friday and Saturday.

This leaves us with only one dedicated customer parking area, the westernmost portion of the back lot.

Fortunately, the city does not charge for street/metered parking on Saturday, and Friday street/metered parking restrictions end at 5pm.

If the westernmost portion of the back lot is full, customers can park: in the gravel lot off of Finney between Goodrich and Bartlett, in street/metered spots, in the pay lots near or around Van Andel/Cherry/Ionia Street, at their own risk in the lots of neighboring businesses, or anywhere else available.

It may be most prudent to utilize public transportation (ie The Rapid), as we reside directly across the street from Central Station.

Otherwise, the city is very pedestrian and bike friendly, and we have substantial bike parking at both our front and rear entrances. Taxi cabs have also become more widely available.
